As a mom to two wildly imaginative little girls, I dreamed up Little Makers Studio as the kind of magical, paint-splattered wonderland I would’ve begged to visit as a kid—where creativity runs wild and rules take a backseat to curiosity.

When I was growing up, I didn’t think art was “for me.” I thought you had to be born with some kind of mysterious talent, and that art supplies were reserved for the chosen few who knew what to do with them. I was intimidated by the whole thing. It took me years to realize that being artistic doesn’t have to mean being perfect—it can mean experimenting, exploring, and simply enjoying the "doing" part.

Little Makers is built around that feeling. It’s a place where kids are trusted with real materials, big ideas, and the freedom to make a beautiful mess. My absolute favorite part? When a kid comes racing over, eyes sparkling, to show me something they made all on their own. That joy, that pride—that’s what it’s all about.
